Herb Flynn, Solar-Log® Technical Support Engineer
Herb is a solar industry expert, having spent 15 years in solar and the last 5 as a valued member of the Solar-Log® team. An Electrical Engineer, Herb offers Solar-Log® customers skilled know-how when it comes to electrical components, as well as the ins and outs of solar installations.
Q: What would people be surprised to know about you?
I own a business. My wife & I own a dance studio in Brookfield, Connecticut. She does all the work & I’m a silent partner just there for support.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
An auto mechanic like my grandfather. I even enrolled in a technical high school to do just that. My grandfather however had other ideas and told me he would break my knees before he would let me follow in his footsteps. So, I switched my focus to electronics and became an engineer.
Q: What aspect of your job do you like the most?
I enjoy supporting & helping people and those in the solar industry are the best. I’ve spent 15 years designing & supporting both grid tie & off grid products.
